My cordless phone has thrown in the towel.  One could say it no longer can stand being around the written word and left the premises, or you could say it's a piece of junk and no longer works.  I lean towards the latter description, but I'm a little put out.
 
The effect is the same.  We are without phones today (Jan 22), or at least until Tess gets here with the replacements.  Sorry for any inconvenience.
